In total, 22 students registered for the Agri-Orientation Programme that will lead to the commencement of the New Venture Creation qualification in July this year. Five (5) of these students are actively learning and working at the BlueDelite Nursery just outside of George, one (1) provides technical assistance at the George training centre and sixteen (16) are under the teaching and leadership of Mr Willem October, Economics Teacher and Farmer at the Haarlem centre, Western Cape, SOUTH AFRICA.

Today my heart weeps for the passing of my friend and, I know, a friend of many in our Emil Weder, Genadendal community. Trusting for the healing and comforting balm of God's Grace on his family. While I am at a loss for words and my soul is pained, I am ploughing through the myriad of memories, refusing to ask why, thankful for the gift of his friendship and that precious smile, the shared conviction that eternity matters and that God gives Grace, that it was mine to share through high school, the early turbulent '80s and the joyous occasions in recent years. I most cherish a song he loved deeply: God forgave my sin by Carol Owens

In a difficult time such as this, words fail us to describe the intensity, the sense of loss, the complexities of a new world and the pain of embarrassment when the truth of how bad others have it, dawn on us all. Quinton Adams have worked hard at transforming the lives of those 'others', many of whose lives have truly been changed.
